IntroductIon In the past decades, the introduction of evidence‐based medicine has prompted a paradigm shift in clinical practice. One of the important progress is involving health‐care professionals in making informed decisions according to recommendations from evidence‐based practice guidelines or other guidance documents (e.g., expert consensus statements) published by national and international authorities (e.g., the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence [NICE]; World Health Organization [WHO]) as well as professional bodies.
